Detroit is a city that makes you look up.  There is a hard-nosed, 1940s toughness to what you see when you do.  But increasingly, the images I’m making there are convincing me that’s not the city’s whole story—or not necessarily the future one.  I will be pursuing some different perspectives as the project develops.
